In the film, a woman is psychologically abused and physically attacked, and still, no one believes her because everything was caused by an invisible entity. Instead, it's a story about emotional abuse framed in a futuristic setting. Fiennes revealed he didnt know that much about. The Invisible Man isn't your regular Invisible Man story. But when it came to her intimate years with Dickens, she remained invisible hence the title of the film. In 2020, he blew away everyone's minds as he turned a conventional horror story into something much more relevant. Still, the script he came up with was inspired by the original story by H.G. He would make it his way, without the intervention of anyone else. When Universal finally greenlit the project after almost 15 years of trying to do something successful with the Universal Monsters franchise, Blumhouse entered the picture and Whannell got every draft of the script and threw it away.
